Leisure agriculture is a new type of agricultural production and management that uses agricultural landscape resources and agricultural production conditions to develop sightseeing, leisure and tourism. On the one hand, the development of leisure agriculture can fully exploit the potential of agricultural resources. It is a new way to adjust the agricultural structure, improve the agricultural environment and increase farmers' income. On the other hand, due to the accelerated process of urbanization and the rapid increase of population, developing leisure agriculture is also important for urban residents to alleviate the pressure of life, enjoy the leisure and tranquility of the countryside and experience rural life. Leisure agriculture represents the development direction of rural areas in the future.
The Institute of Agricultural Information and Economics of Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences has long been committed to regional economy, industrial development and planning research, have engaged in the planning of more than 70 projects of tourism agriculture and rural revitalization demonstration, and has accumulated rich experience in leisure agriculture.
We are looking forwards cooperating with foreign research institution or scientists, to study the new mode of agriculture development such as urban agriculture, industrialized agriculture, leisure agriculture and pastoral complex.
