Under the influence of typhoon "Dusurai", Baoding experienced a large-scale continuous rainstorm, and Baiquan Ecological Park in the Taihang Mountain Modern Ecological Leisure Agriculture Demonstration Base of the Institute of Agricultural Information and Economics, was seriously affected. Protected vegetables, melons and fruits are facing crop failure, with severe losses to open-air crops, infrastructure, and agricultural materials. In order to restore production in a timely manner and reduce losses, experts from the Institute of Information and Economics went to the park in the rain from August 10th to 11th to investigate the disaster situation and provide technical guidance for post disaster reconstruction.
A series of suggestions for post disaster production technology of facility agriculture in the park were povided:
Closely monitor weather changes, reinforce facility greenhouses in advance, and take measures such as cutting film to protect the greenhouses when the wind is too strong;
After a disaster occurs, clear the ditch and soil moisture in a timely manner to quickly drain the accumulated water;
For fallen vegetable plants, support seedlings and manage vines, and timely cultivate soil and protect roots;
Clean up the severely affected plots by transplanting seedlings and carry out soil disinfection work;
The park should strengthen the management of water and fertilizer for affected fruits and vegetables, and pay attention to disease and pest control.
We will actively coordinate relevant experts to go to the park for classification guidance based on the specific technical requirements of different crops.
