On June 8^th, 2025, HAAFS organized the on-site inspection in Zhao County to the implementation effect of “Key period prevention and control technologies for psyllachinensis”project undertaken by the Institute of Plant Protection. The expert group conducted a survey and statistical anaylysis on the occurrence of psyllachinensis in key periods of prevention and control (overwintering adult emergence period, first generation nymph period, second generation nymph period) and in conventional prevention and control. The effect of psyllachinensis control during the key period of early spring reached over 90%, which has increased by 15.64 percentage points.

In recent years, with the increase of pear tree planting area, changes in cultivation mode and variety updates, as well as climate changes, psyllachinensis has become severe in multiple pear production areas in Hebei Province. Due to the lack understanding of the occurrence pattern of psyllachinensis, the timing of medication is not suitable, which resulting in poor control effects. In addition, the nymphs secrete mucus, which makes it difficult for the medication to penetrate and leads to severe outbreaks in the later stage. This technology proposes timely prevention and control during the critical period of early spring overwintering adult emergence, which can effectively reduce the number of psyllachinensis and the frequency and amount of pesticide application in the later stage, and provide technical support for efficient prevention and control of psyllachinensis.
