To further promote international academic exchange and cooperation, on June 11th, the Institute of Plant Protection of HAAFS invited Professor Bouwmeester from the Swamadan Institute for Life Sciences at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands to give an academic presentation.

Professor Bouwmeester presented an academic report titled "Metabolic Signaling Relationships between Plants and Their Root Microbiome". A systematic introduction was made on the interaction mechanism between plants and microorganisms mediated by plant root exudates, detailing a system for collecting root exudates, identifying the components of root exudates, and how to use machine learning technology to quickly identify signal molecules related to rhizosphere microbial metabolism in root exudates. Moreover, Professor Bouwmeester explained the difference between signaling molecules in root exudates and other carbohydrates at a theoretical level.
