At the invitation of the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI), a delegation of 5 people led by Director WANG Mingqiu from the Institute of Cash Crops visited Malaysia for a 5-day visit from November 23-27, 2025. The delegation visited headquarter of MARDI (including mushroom houses, plant factories, and marker discovery and verification centers), Ganofarm Co., Ltd. (mushroom farm), Ehsan Tani Satellite Farm&Farmers' sales store in Gualalongyue County, KC Kwang and Son Plantation, and MARDI Cameron Highlands Branch.

During the visit, academic exchange meetings were held to discuss the latest progress and future development directions in the field of vegetable research. In addition, the delegation went deep into local enterprises and the MARDI Cameron Highlands vegetable planting area to understand the current cultivation situation of Malaysian vegetable industry. Both sides reached a consensus on the content of future exchanges and cooperation. First step is to establish a mechanism for regular exchanges of scientific and technological personnel to carry out substantive cooperation research. Meanwhile, both parties will jointly apply for the international cooperation base to conduct research on the selection, identification, and screening of stress resistant varieties based on the characteristics of vegetable cultivation in the highlands and plains of Malaysia. In addition, both sides should provide more channels for cooperation and exchange to expand the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
